me

Hello from Pawtucket, Rhode Island and welcome! My name is Justin Lewis and Coffee Stains on the Napkin is my personal blog. Here you will find lots of stuff to read as I update daily through the blog and twitter. What can you read about? Food. Art. Books. Movies. Pretty much anything that catches my interest and I think is worth writing about. So, kick back with a cup of your favorite coffee or a freshly popped can o' 'Gansett and enjoy the post!

Secret Project #1

The project: this is actually the work of Megan and Murray McMillan, both from California but now living here in Lil' Rhody. They're a husband and wife artist partnership who create beautifully done installations and films. Check out their blog and their site. The blog will show more of what this video is about. Keri has actually blogged about this one but the video is now out. I've posted it as video of the week to the right. What did Keri and I do? Keri can be seen in the video used in the installation as one of the dinner party, she's in the blue dress on the left. I helped out around the set during filming, mainly holding the steadycam for Murray during takes and refreshing the actors drinks on the stage. We had a great time working for these guys and would gladly do it again.

Blog

Sometime in the next week or so I will be switching over to my new blog. No worries for any regular visitors as I will put a redirect in for the browser so you won't miss a thing.

I love blogger as it is my second blog aside from Livejournal. But...Wordpress rules! Wow, it's much better. Especially if you have the opportunity to installed and selfhost the blog. I highly recommend it. Soon, you'll see what I'm talking about.

In other news, Lost was on tonight. Great episode! Only two left before the short midseason break and then it all resumes just in time for Borba! John will be visiting at the end of next month thru may! Yah! We can't wait!

I think my days are numbered...

...here on Blogger.

I've spent the last week learning how to use and customize the Wordpress php/cms and I'm really starting to get the hang of it. Designing things takes a little longer than I'm used to BUT it's just so much better. Thousands of plugins available since Wordpress is an opensource "program".

Not to worry tho, if I do switch to Blogger the only thing readers of this blog will notice aside from a design change is a lot of new features. One of which is a language translation option that I like and have up on one of my secret projects. It's sweet! It's possible in another month that this whole blog will change big time. For now, the newest feature is the messenger on the far right just below the page intro. By using the messenger, you can chat directly with me online with no need for an instant messenger.
